TokudAw Inc. and Nagano Alpico Holdings have joined forces to launch the Japan Alps Green Leaders Program 2024 (JAGLP 2024), aimed at regional revitalization and sustainable management of the Japanese Alps. This initiative follows discussions between ASEAN-Japan Office and embassy officials from four ASEAN countries during their visit to the Alpico Group in March 2024.
Program Inception and Goals
The JAGLP 2024 was conceived to promote annual winter meetings in Matsumoto, focusing on the sustainable development of the Japanese Alps area. The inaugural pre-meeting from July 9th-11th will feature inspections in Matsumoto City and Hakuba, involving entrepreneurs from ASEAN and Japan. Key discussions will take place at Seiko Epson Corporation, Shinshu University, and Alpico Holdings Co., Ltd., with a notable networking session with Hakuba Mayor Maruyama Toshiro and ASEAN-Japan Center Secretary General Hirayabashi Kunihiko
