Grand Hyatt Singapore, one of the OG five-star hotels in Singapore, will reopen with reimagined interiors and refreshed guestrooms on 10 July 2024. Here’s what you need to know.
Located in an accessible location within the iconic Orchard Road district, Grand Hyatt Singapore has always been an ideal urban sanctuary for travellers since it first opened its doors as Hyatt Regency Singapore in 1971. It was later renamed to Grand Hyatt Singapore in 1988.
In October 2021, the luxurious hotel – situated next to Far East Plaza – underwent a major renovation project. It’s safe to say that the reopening of the property and its newly transformed spaces is highly anticipated by both locals and tourists alike.

The first phase of Grand Hyatt Singapore’s reopening will unveil the nature-inspired Terrace Wing that promises a respite from the bustling streets.
With a theme of “City in Nature”, all 292 Terrace Wing rooms will feature soothing neutral tones with ice-green marble accents while elegant wooden furnishings in the living area evoke a resort ambience. Additionally, these rooms start from 42 square metres in size, making them among the largest in the Orchard Road precinct.
Upon entering, guests can marvel at the meandering tropical garden with waterfalls – the perfect accompaniment to the refreshed wellness facilities, which include a 24-hour fitness centre and a 25-metre lap swimming pool. There is also an outdoor lawn area, where guests can partake in guided meditation, yoga, pilates, and boot camps. Furthermore, all 16 event spaces within the hotel will also be available to host magnificent celebrations and memorable events.
Inside Grand Hyatt Singapore’s brand new rooms
The Terrace Wing guestrooms will include thoughtful amenities like a cosy daybed in the window alcove, a dual-sink vanity, and a functional multi-purpose table.
A new room option – the one King Bed Premium with Garden Access guestroom – offers direct access to the gardens and pools, and is ideal for those who enjoy lounging in the sun. There are five such rooms in total.
For a decadent stay, opt for one of the three well-appointed Presidential Suites. Each spanning 252 square metres of space with dedicated living, entertaining, and dining areas, they are perfect for those seeking the ultimate in luxury and comfort.
The transformed Terrace Wing is jointly designed by Tokyo-based Strickland and NAO Taniyama, with U.K.-based landscape architecture practice Grant Associates.

Grand Hyatt Singapore will also see its renowned culinary establishments returning, one of which is a restaurant that’s helmed by a Michelin-starred chef.
Guided by Hyatt’s food philosophy, “Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served”, look forward to favourites like the Halal-certified buffet marketplace StraitsKitchen and nightlife venue BRIX. With refreshed interiors and perfected menus, StraitsKitchen serves up delectable Singaporean specialties like chilli crab, laksa, butter chicken, and satay. Afterwards, grab a nightcap or two at BRIX, which consists of a Main Bar, Wine Bar, and Whisky Bar.
Diners who prefer outdoor dining can otherwise have a relaxing meal at Oasis (opening in August 2024). This all-day poolside spot features an entertaining combination of BBQ, cocktails, and live DJ music.
A highly anticipated opening will be Le Pristine Singapore. Making its Southeast Asian debut in October 2024, the spotlight will be on Michelin-starred Chef Sergio Herman’s “new Italian” fare with Dutch Zeeland influences.
Elsewhere, before reinstating its service as a restaurant, 10|Scotts will operate as the hotel’s Grand Club Lounge until early 2025.
Other notable future openings are Pete’s Place, a beloved classic Italian cuisine institution since 1973, and the cocktail-forward Martini Bar.
The Grand Wing of Grand Hyatt Singapore is expected to reopen in early 2025. By then, the hotel will complete its evolution into a Grand Living Room and Wellness destination with 699 guestrooms and suites for guests to enjoy its facilities.
Grand Hyatt Singapore is located at 10 Scotts Road, Singapore 228211.
