Secretary-General António Guterres (right) hears a presentation by a member of the newly established Youth for Water and Climate Network of Tajikistan supported by United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The network aims to build capacity of young people to address climate challenges.
The Secretary-General is on a visit to Central Asia. Tajikistan is his fourth stop after Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. The Secretary-General will then continue to Turkmenistan. He will hold meetings with each country’s heads of state and other senior government officials. He will also visit projects related to climate change and speak with local communities and youth activists.
