Singapore ranked top in Asia by paying US$4,350 on average, while Hong Kong came in 23rd globally at US$3,070.
Though money is not the only consideration when deciding to take a job or not, it is always good to be well paid.
According to the latest report by CEOWORLD magazine, employers in Switzerland pay the highest wages (on a monthly basis) at US$8,111 on average among 196 entries in the ranking, followed by Luxembourg (US$6,633), the United States (US$6,455), Iceland (US$6,441), and Norway (US$5,665).

The report also revealed that the highest-paying jobs can be found in the finance, insurance, electricity, mining, information technology, retail, and education sectors.
On the other hand, per the report, the lowest-paying sectors are administrative support, hospitality, and construction.
However, the report reminded about other important factors to consider when comparing salaries in different countries, such as inflation and geo-political risks.
